Cheddar Beer Bread

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 2 T. sugar
- 1 T. baking Powder
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 T. Chopped fresh sage (1 1/2 tsp. dry)
- 1 1/2 c. (12 fl. oz) beer, freshly opened
- 1 c. grated cheddar cheese.

Makes 1 9" loaf or 3 small….

Preheat oven 375*. Grease and flour pan (s).
- In a medium bowl stir and toss together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt and sage. Stir in the beer and cheese until completely blended.
- Spread evenly in prepared pan (s). Bake until a wooden toothpick inserted in center of loaf comes out clean, 50-55 minutes. [Check in 20 minutes and every 5 to 10 minutes after]. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
