Ingredients
- 12 oz uncooked fettuccine
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2/3 cup heavy or whipping cream
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- White pepper
- Ground nutmeg
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Cook fettuccine in large saucepan of boiled salted water 6-8 minutes or until al dente; drain and return to saucepan.

Place butter and cream in a large skillet over medium-low heat. Cook and stir until better melts and mixture bubbles. Cook and stir 2 minutes more. Stir in generous dashes of salt, white pepper and nutmeg. Remove from heat. Gradually stir in cheese until well blended and smooth. Return briefly to heat to completely blend cheese, if necessary.

Pour sauce over fettuccine. Stir and toss with 2 forks over low heat 2-3 minutes until sauce is thickened and fettuccine is evenly coated. Sprinkle with chopped parsley.
