Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh green beans, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 tablespoon onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons flour
- Pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon thyme
- 2 cups milk
- 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
Directions

Cook beans in boilng, salted water until tender.

In saucepan, cook onion and butter until tender. Blend in flour, salt, thyme, and dash of pepper. Add all the milk at once. Cook, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and bubbles.

Stir in beans and heat through.

Add bacon.
