Marzapan

Ingredients
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 3 Tbsp. light corn syrup
Directions
- Combine softened butter and corn syrup. Stir in powdered sugar. (may need to work with hands). Chill in refrigerator to firm.

Use for: Wrap 1/2 tsp. around well drained cherries, and dip in chocolate to make cordial cherries.
- Add 1 tsp. peppermint extract to mixture, form into balls and mash into discs. Chill to firm, then dip into melted chocolate for mint patties.
- Finely chop nuts, or hard candy and add to mixture. Then form balls, and dip in chocolate, or roll in cocoa or powdered sugar.
- Flavor with whatever extract you prefer, and dip or roll in coating to make truffles.
- Form in animal or other shapes, dip in colored melts for whimsical candies .
