Ingredients
- 1 1//2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Directions
- In a medium saucepan, combine sugar and water. Cook over medium heat. Stir and cook until sugar dissolves completely. Cook over medium-low heat until mixture becomes amber color, about 5 minutes or more. Do not stir. If needed, swirl gently but no stirring. Remove from heat and add butter. Swirl it around. It will bubble up.
- Add cream and whisk until smooth. Add vanilla; whisk until smooth. Pour into a jar and cool 10 to 15 minutes
