use egg whites from custard pie

Ingredients

  • 3 egg whites
  • 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 6 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until fluffy. Add sugar, beat until stiff peaks form. Add vanilla and beat in well.
  2. Top hot pie, covering completely. Place under broiler, and watch carefully until lightly browned.
