Apple Rose Cups

Chinese recipe translated for me by a friend. not only are they pretty to look at, but they taste delish.

Ingredients
- 1 cup cake flour
- 1 red apple
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. honey
- 3 Tbsp. water
- 1/2 stick butter
- extra honey, powdered sugar and cinnamon
- for sprinkling
Directions
- Cut apple in half and remove core. Slice apple in thin slices form the side. Place slices in a pan and add sugar, honey and water. Cook over low heat 4-5 minutes. Take out apple to drain.
- Put butter, 3 Tbsp. apple cooking water and sift in 1 cup cake flour. Knead until smooth dough forms. Cut dough in half, and roll out each half separately, until thin. Cut in 1 inch strips about 8 inches long.
- Place apple slices over lapping on each strip. Roll strip up from end, inclosing apples. ( Leave enough apple, uncut edge to show above dough)
- Place in cupcake paper liners and set together in baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 18 minutes. Brush tops with honey. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and cinnamon
