Ingredients
- 3/4 Lb. good quality milk chocolate chips
- 3/4 Lb. food semi-sweet or dark chocolate
- chips
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 oz. Kahlua liqueur
- 2-3 tsp. instant coffee powder
- 1/2 to 3/4 Lb. dipping chocolate
- 1/2 to 3/4 Lb. white dipping chocolate
- Assorted sprinkles of your choice
Directions
- Place cream, coffee powder and butter in a bowl. Microwave on high until cream is almost simmering and butter is melted.
- Stir in chocolate chips, Kahlua and coffee to taste. Stir until chocolate is melted and smooth. If needed, microwave 30 seconds at a time, stirring until smooth.
- Refrigerate overnight until firm.
- Line 2 cookie sheets with foil.
- Use a small cookie scoop to form balls. Using gloves, roll between hands to smooth.
- Refrigerate again a couple of hours.
- Melt dipping chocolate, and dip truffles. Dip half in ark chocolate and half in white, as you wish. Drizzle opposite color chocolate over truffles. use candy sprinkles as you chose.
- May use: Irish cream, Amaretto, rum, etc. instead of Kahlua and coffee powder.
