Wicked Salsa

I started with prepackaged salsa mix, and added things until it tasted right.

Ingredients

  • 24 cups chopped tomatoes
  • 6 cups vinegar
  • 2-3 pkg. Mrs. Wages Salsa Mix
  • 3 large onions
  • 1 bunch cilantro
  • 8 Jalapeno peppers
  • 6 Habenaro peppers, seeded
  • 3 tsp. cumin

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients together in a large stock pot and cook until reduced to desired thickness. Place in pint jars, and process for 5 minute hot water bath.
  2. If you don’t want this much. Try cutting the recipe down to about 1/4 the volume. It is good straight out of the pot, but will thicken the longer it sits.
