Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt 1 cup warm water
- 1 Tbsp. active dry yeast
- 3 Tbsp. milk
- 1/4 cup butter
- 6 cups all-purpose flour or 2 cups whole
- wheat- 4 cups regular
- Dash onion salt (opt.)
- Dash garlic salt (opt.)
Directions
- Stir water, yeast and sugar together in a bowl. Allow it to sit until it becomes frothy. Add milk and salt. Stir in half the flour, enough to create a soft dough. Knead dough on floured surface for 3 to 5 minutes. Allow dough to rest 5 minutes.
- Divide dough into 6-8 pieces. Flatten each piece with hands and then use floured rolling pin to roll out each piece, to about 1/4 inch thick.
- Heat a grill pan over high heat. Turn heat down to low and elt 1/4 cup butter. Brush melted butter over the dough. Lay dough face down in the grill pan and cook for 2-3 minutes or until golden. Flip over and repeat.
