Sombrero Dip

Ingredients

  • 15 oz. can black beans, rinsed
  • 4 oz. can chopped ripe olive, drained
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 4 oz. diced green chiles
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 4 Tbsp. chopped cilantro
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 2 Tbsp. lime juice
  • 2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. cumin
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • Salsa
  • 1 green onion, diced

Directions

  1. mix ingredients except cream cheese, salsa and green onion. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours. Spread cream cheese on serving plate. Spoon bean mixture evenly over cream cheese. Spoon salsa around edges; sprinkle with green onion. Serve with tortilla chips.
