Spiced Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 t. garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 t. ground mustard
  • 1 1/2 t. paprika
  • 1/2 t. celery salt
  • 1/4 t. ginger
  • 1/8 t. dried oregano
  • 1/8 t. dried basil
  • 1/8 t. salt
  • pinch of pepper
  • 3/4 " thick pork loin chops (4)
  • 1 - 2 T. cooking oil
  • 1 c. ketchup
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar

Directions

  1. In a shallow dish, combine first ten ingredients.

  2. Dredge pork chops on both sides.

  3. In a skillet, brown chops in oil on both sides.

  4. Place in a greased 13 × 2 baking ish.

  5. Combine ketchup, water and brown sugar. Pour over chops.

  6. Bake, uncovered @ 350 degrees for one hour or until tender.
