Deer Chili

Serves 8 people

Ingredients

  • 2 Lb. ground deer meat
  • 2 Lb. ground beef*
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2-3 Tbsp. bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. garlic, minced
  • 2 small cans tomato sauce
  • 1 small can tomato paste
  • 1 large can tomatoes, chopped
  • 3-4 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp. cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cans beans(chili, red or kidney or a mixture)

Directions

  1. In a large pot, brown meat, onion and pepper; drain. Add rest of ingredients, except beans.
  2. Use enough water to make it as thick as you like. Add beans after it starts cooking. Simmer at least one hour.
  3. *May use all deer meat, if desired.
