Ingredients
- 1 tbs yeast
- 1 1⁄4 c. water
- 1/3 to 1/2 c. sugar or light molasses or honey
- 4 eggs + 1 yolk, beaten (save egg white for brushing)
- 1 tbs salt
- 1/3 to 1/2 c. vegetable oil
- 2 tsp - 1 tbs cardamom
- 1/4 - 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1.5 c. raisins
- bread flour (probably around 5 cups, but it can vary enormously depending on the flour, size of the eggs, etc.)
- 1 egg, beaten + sesame seeds for brushing and decoration

Bake at 375 F until golden brown. (Pls try 350 the inside does not get cooked well enough at least in our lawrence oven)

Notes: needs way more flour – 1-2 cups

Add vital wheat gluten at 2% of flour – so with 6-7 cups that’s 2 TBS
