Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. ground beef sirloin
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Coarse salt and pepper to taste
- 1 (24 to 26 oz.) jar red pasta sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 ( oz. pkg. refrigerated vegetable- or herb-
- filled tortellini
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Directions
- Heat oven to 350 degrees. Coat a 7x 11-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
- In a large skillet, cook beef, onion and garlic on medium for 8 minutes or until beef is no longer pink. Drain well and season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir in pasta sauce and water. Arrange tortellini evenly on bottom of dish. Spoon beef mixture over tortellini; sprinkle cheese over beef mixture. Cover with foil; bake 30 minutes. Uncover and bake 5 more minutes. Garnish with parsley.
