Venison Crock-Pot Style

Ingredients
- 1 lb. venison loin
- 1 1/2 tsp. garlic powder (divided use)
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. onion powder
- 1 tsp. sea salt
- Drizzle of olive oil
- Non-stick cooking spray
- 1 large sweet onion, thinly sliced
- 1 apple (pears, cherries or other high acidic
- fruits can be used), cored and sliced
Directions
- Mix together 1 tsp. of the garlic powder, along with the rest of the seasonings, in a small bowl. Pat the seasoning mixture into the venison loin.
- Heat a skillet with a drizzle of olive oil and brown the coated venison quickly on all sides.
- Spray the inside of your crock-pot with non-stick cooking spray and turn to high while browning the venison.
- Add the venison, sliced onion and sliced fruit, sprinkle with remaining garlic powder, cover then turn crock-pot to low.
- Cook for 6-8 hours. It will be fork tender. You can add a bit of flour to the juices in the crockpot to make gravy, but discard the onion and fruit first.
