Ingredients
- 1/4 cup diced green pepper
- 1/2 lb. sliced mushrooms
- 4 Tbsp. margarine
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. salt
- dash of black pepper
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup light cream
- 2 cups diced, cooked chicken
- 1/4 cup diced pimiento
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds, toasted
Directions
- Sauté diced green pepper and sliced mushrooms in margarine. Blend in flour until smooth. Gradually add chicken broth and cream, until slightly thickened. Add nutmeg, slightly thickened. Add nutmeg, salt , pepper, pimiento and chicken. Simmer for about 7 minutes. Put in serving bowl and top with sliced almonds.
