Grilled Turkey and Pear Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. deli turkey
  • 4 oz. Gouda cheese, sliced thin
  • 1 ripe Red Anjou, Red Bartlett or other red- skinned pear, thinly sliced, unpeeled
  • 8 slices of your favorite bread
  • Philadelphia whipped mix berry cream
  • cheese spread
  • 2 Tbsp. butter, melted, divided use

Directions

  1. On one side of each slice of bread, spread a very thin layer of the whipped berry cream cheese spread.
  2. On four of the slices, stack the cheese, sliced pear and 2 oz. turkey, then top with a second slice of bread, cream cheese side to the inside.
  3. Pour some of the melted butter into your skillet, lightly covering the bottom. Heat your skillet as you would to make grilled cheese sandwich.
  4. Place sandwiches in pan, browning well. Before turning, brush the top of the sandwich with melted butter. Brown second side well and then serve hot.
