Ingredients
- 1 large yellow onion, chopped
- 4 stalks celery, minced
- 4 carrots, sliced thin
- 2 bay leaves
- 3 roasted garlic cloves
- 2 cups great northern bean, rinsed and picked over
- 8 cups low sodium chicken broth
- 1⁄2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cups diced ham (crockpot day before)
Directions

Add onion and celery to crock pot.

Add rinsed beans and sprinkle with pepper.

Add bay leaves.

Add chicken stock and stir to combine all ingredients cover and cook on low for 8 hours.

Roast garlic.

To thicken puree some beans and garlic and add back to soup.

Add diced ham.
