Ingredients
- 1- 12 oz bag chocolate chips
- 1 1/2 c brown sugar
- 1 1/2 sticks butter
- 4 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 c flour
- 2 c finely chopped walnuts
- 1/2 c additional white sugar, in a small bowl
Directions

Melt chocolate chips with butter. (Microwave on high for 2 minutes, then stir until smooth) Stir in sugar and let cool.

Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Mix in vanilla, baking powder and salt. Stir in flour and mix well, then add nuts. Chill dough for at least 4 hours.

Roll dough into 1 inch balls. Coat each one with white sugar.

Place on a greased cookie sheet and flatten lightly with a spatula.

Bake in a preheated 350F oven for 12 – 14 minutes. Let cool on cookie sheet for one minute, then remove to a wire rack. (if you leave them on the cookie sheet too long, the cookies will stick)
