Strawberry and Orange Fruit Bowls with Walnut Cream

Serves 6 people

Ingredients

  • 3 cups fresh strawberries, cut into halves
  • 4 medium naval oranges, peeled and sectioned
  • 4 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup low-fat vanilla yogurt
  • 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. white balsamic vinegar
  • 1 cup finely chopped toasted walnuts

Directions

  1. Combine strawberries and orange sections. Divide among 6 glass serving bowls.
  2. Whisk together cream cheese, yogurt, brown sugar and vinegar until creamy. Stir in half the walnuts.
  3. Pour over fruit just before serving. Sprinkle remaining walnuts on top.
  4. Dressing can be made up to 2 days ahead and stored, covered, in the refrigerator.
