Baking with Honey

  1. When substituting honey for sugar in baked goods, follow these guidelines.
  2. use only 1/3 to 1/2 the amount of honey because of its sweetness.
  3. Reduce the amount of liquid by 1/5 to 1/4.

  4. Add 1/2 tsp. baking soda for each cup of honey used.
  5. Reduce the oven temperature by 25 degrees F. to prevent overbrowning.
