Gooseberry Conserve

Ingredients

  • 3 lb. gooseberries
  • 3 lb. sugar
  • 1 lb. seeded raisins
  • 3 large oranges
  • 2 cups broken nut meats

Directions

  1. Remove stems and wash gooseberries. Mix with the sugar, raisins and grated rind and juice of the oranges. Cook until thick, add nuts and seal in clean hot jars.
  2. makes 4 pints
