Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 12 pears, peeled, cored and cut into eighths
Directions
- Combine water and sugar in a large saucepan. Cook over low heat until sugar is dissolved, stirring. Bring to a boil and boil for 5 minutes.
- Add pears to syrup and cook over medium heat until pears are translucent and syrup is thickened. Pour into hot sterilized jars and seal.
