Savory Jelly

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. dried summer savory
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup grapefruit juice
  • 3 14 cups sugar
  • Green coloring
  • 1/2 cup liquid pectin

Directions

  1. Combine savory and water, cover and let stand 15 minutes. Strain through fine cheesecloth. Add water to make 1/2 cup. Combine with grapefruit juice and sugar.
  2. Heat to full rolling boil and boil hard 12 minute. Remove from heat, skim and pour into clean hot glasses. Seal and process in hot water bath 10 minutes.
  3. Serve with meat or poultry.
  4. makes 4 (8oz.) jars
