Canned Peach Chutney

Ingredients

  • 2 cans (29 oz. each) sliced cling peaches, drained
  • 1 1/2 cups diced green pepper
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup chopped preserved ginger
  • 1/2 cup seedless raisins
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp. cayenne
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper

Directions

  1. Put all ingredients in a large kettle. Bring to boil and simmer uncovered 1 1/4 hours, ot until thick. Pour into 3 hot sterilized pint jars and seal. Process in water bath 5 minutes
