Ingredients
- 1 (12 oz.) can crushed pineapple in its own juice
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. fresh cranberries
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts OR pecans
- 1 1/2 tsp. lemon juice
- 1/8 tsp. ground cloves
Directions
- Drain pineapple thoroughly, collecting juice in a large measuring cup. Add enough water to cup to measure 1 cup juice.
- Place liquid in saucepan; add cranberries and sugar. Stir over high heat until sugar dissolves and mixture comes to a boil.
- Continue to boil until most berries burst and mixture is thick, stirring constantly, 6 to 8 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Mix in remaining ingredients; transfer to serving dish and cool at room temperature. Refrigerate until serving time.
