Ingredients
- 1 gallon cucumbers, sliced
- 8 small onions, chopped
- 1/2 cup salt
- 2 bell peppers, chopped
- 1/2 cup salt
- 2 bell peppers, chopped
- 5 cups sugar
- 5 cups vinegar
- 1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
- 1 1/2 tsp. mustard seed
- 2 tsp. turmeric
Directions
- Combine cucumbers, onions, salt and bell peppers. Soak in ice for 3 hours; drain. Add vinegar, celery seed, mustard seed and turmeric. Place over low heat, cook 10 minutes after it begins to boil. Pack in jars and seal.
