Ingredients
- 1 can (lb.) pear halves
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 tsp. allspice
- 2 Tbsp. crème de menthe
- 2 drops green food coloring (optional)
Directions
- Drain pears, reserving syrup.
- Combine lemon juice, allspice and crème de menthe in a saucepan. Add syrup. Mix well. Cook over medium heat just until mixture comes to a boil. Remove from heat.
- Add food coloring to syrup mixture, if desired. Pour over pears. Pour into hot sterilized jars. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
