Ingredients
- 7 lbs. cucumbers, sliced
- 2 cups lime
- 2 gallons water
- 2 quarts white vinegar
- 5 lbs. sugar
- 1 tsp. celery seed
- 1 tsp. whole cloves
- 1 tsp. mixed pickling spice
- 1 Tbsp. salt
Directions
- Soak cucumber slices in lime-water for 24 hours. Wash and cover with fresh water. Soak for 3 more hours. Drain and cover with remaining ingredients.
- Soak overnight and boil 35 minutes. Put pickles and liquid into clean, hot jars and seal.
