Tullis Smoky Dry Rub and braising sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. smoked paprika
  • 1 Tbsp. kosher salt
  • 2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 2 tsp. chili powder
  • 2 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp. onion salt
  • 1 tsp. ground red pepper
  • 1 tsp. cumin
  • for braising sauce:
  • 1 cup juice
  • 1 Tbsp. rub( Tullis recipe above)
  • 2 tsp. balsamic vinegar
  • 1 minced garlic clove

Directions

  1. For dry rub:

  2. Stir together all ingredients in a small bowl. (Store used portion in airtight container)
  3. makes 1/2 cup

  4. for braising sauce:

  5. Stir together all ingredients in a small bowl. Refrigerate up to 1 week in covered container.
