Ingredients
- 3 large Granny Smith apples, cored, peeled and cut into wedges
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar, well packed
- 1/4 tsp. ground allspice
- 1/4 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 Tbsp. flour
Directions
- Over medium heat, melt the butter with the brown sugar in a skillet. Add the apples and cook until they begin to release juices; reduce heat to medium-low and simmer about 15 minutes or until apples are tender. Add spices and cornstarch; turn with apples until well blended. Pour mixture in the center of pie dough and fold dough to the center , but not to cover completely. Bake at 350 degrees until golden.
