Ingredients
- 2 1/4cups sugar
- 2 1/4 Tbsp. flour
- 3 quarts milk
- 6 eggs, separated
- 2 1/4 tsp. real vanilla
Directions
- Mix sugar and flour, and then add half of the milk to the mixture and beat well. Separate the yolks from whites into separate bowl. Add well beaten egg yolks and remainder of milk gradually, then add vanilla. Heat mixture in a saucepan until hot, but not boiling. Let mixture cool. Beat egg whites until stiff, then add to cooled mixture. Strain, then pour into ice cream maker container and freeze according to your freezer directions.

This is a basic vanilla ice cream, that can be added to. Strawberries stirred in just before freezing, or your favorite fruit, chocolate chips, etc. will make it your own.
