Banana Custard Dessert

Ingredients
- 3/4 c sugar
- 3 tbsp. flour
- dash of salt
- 4 eggs (1 whole, 3 yolks then 3 whites)
- 2 c milk
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- Nilla wafers
- 5-6 sliced bananas
Directions

Combine 1/2 c sugar, flour and salt in double boiler.

Mix in 1 whole egg and 3 egg yolks. Add milk

Cook, uncovered over boiling water, stirring constantly until thick.

Remove from heat and add vanilla.

Spread small amount of mixture on bottom of 1 1/2 qt. casserole dish.

Cover this with Nilla wafers.

Top with banana slices and put 1/3 of custard over bananas.

Continue to layer wafers, bananas, custard making 3 layers of each, ending w/ custard.

Beat 3 remaining eggs whites until stiff.

Add remaining 1/4 c sugar and beat until mix forms stiff peaks.

Pile white mixture on pudding covering all.

Bake at 425 for 5 minutes.

Serve warm or chill.
