Sensational Pudding Sauce (for hot or cold puddings)

Ingredients
- 2 eggs, separated
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup heavy cream, whipped
- 2 to 4 Tbsp. Cognac, rum or bourbon
Directions
- Beat egg whites until they hold soft peaks. Gradually add sugar until you have a stiff meringue. Beat egg yolks until light and lemon-colored. Whip cream. Fold yolks into meringue, then fold in cream. Drizzle in Cognac and fold again.
