Easy Sausage and Cheese Breakfast Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 8oz tube of Pillsbury Original Crescent dough
  • 1 pound of breakfast sausage, cooked
  • 1 to 2 cups of cheddar cheese
  • 5 eggs
  • 1/4 cup of milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt
  • freshly ground pepper to taste
  • fresh chives, minced

Directions

  1. Cook breakfast sausage on stove top, breaking up with wooden spoon as it cooks.

  2. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

  3. Spray a 9×13 casserole dish with non-stick cooking spray.

  4. Unroll an 8oz tube of original crescent roll dough and lightly press it into the pan.

  5. Pinch the seams of the dough together.

  6. Top with cooked sausage.

  7. Next add a layer of cheddar cheese.

  8. Whisk eggs with milk, salt and pepper.

  9. Pour evenly over casserole.

  10. Bake at 400 degrees for about 15 minutes, until eggs are just set.

  11. Sprinkle with fresh chives
