Strawberry- Rice Bavarian

Ingredients

  • 1 envelope unflavored gelatin
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 cups cold, cooked rice
  • 1 cup (1/2 pint) heavy cream, whipped
  • 1 pint firm, ripe strawberries, washed, hulled and sliced.
  • Few drops red food coloring

Directions

  1. Oil 6-cup mold lightly. Combine gelatin, sugar and salt in medium saucepan. Stir in evaporated milk and water. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until partially set. Fold in rice, whipped cream, strawberries and food coloring. Pour into mold. Chill 2 to 3 hours or until firm. Unmold.
