Aileen’s Orange Marmalade

Nice breakfast marmalade

Prep time: 30 minutes
Cook time: 90 minutes

Ingredients

  • 4 large oranges
  • 2 lemons
  • 9 cups water
  • 2 Kg sugar
  • small knob butter

Directions

  1. Thinly slice washed fruit.

  2. Place in large saucepan, along with the water and stand overnight.

  3. Next day, cook fruit until soft – approx 45 minutes.

  4. Add sugar, stirring well, and boil on medium heat until just set – may take approx 25 minutes.

  5. Pour into sterilised jars, and seal while hot.
