Ingredients
- 1/2 to 1 head cabbage
- bacon grease
- water
- salt
Directions

Cut cabbage into quarters then each quarter into half.

Add about 2 tablespoons bacon grease or you can fry a couple pieces of bacon, crumble and toss bacon and grease into cabbage.

Salt, add water about half way up as cabbage will wilt down.

Bring to boil, cover and simmer slowly until cabbage is tender.
