Vanilla Chiffon Dessert

Serves 6 people

Ingredients

  • 1 envelope Know unflavored gelatin
  • 1/4 tsp. Sweet 'N Low (3 packets)
  • 2 eggs, separated
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions

  1. In medium saucepan, mix Knox gelatin with Sweet "N Low. Blend in egg yolks beaten with milk. Let stand 1 minute. Stir over low heat until gelatin is completely dissolved about 5 minutes; add vanilla. Pour into large bowl and chill. Stirring occasionally until mixture mounds slightly when dropped form spoon.
  2. In medium bowl, beat egg whites until stiff. Fold into gelatin mixture. Turn into dessert dishes and chill until set. Garnish if desired, with chocolate wafer crumbs or sprinkles.
