Very-Low Sugar Custard

Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 4 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 6 Tbsp. raisins or pitted and halves prunes or 12 pitted dates, chopped

Directions

  1. Blend milk, eggs, sugar vanilla and salt. Pour into six 6-oz. greased custard cups and sprinkle with raisins. Set custards in baking pan on rack in oven and pour about 1-inch boiling water in pan. Bake in preheated 325 degree oven for 40 minutes, or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool.
