Ingredients
- Cleaned dove breasts (as many as you like)
- Cheese
- Fresh Jalapenos
- Bacon
- Garlic Powder
- Toothpicks
Directions
-
Have your hunter clean the dove, pull off all feathers, down and pin feathers. BE SURE TO PICK OUT ALL THE “SHOT”.
-
Season breasts with garlic powder.
-
Cut your choice of cheese into 3 inch long strips about 1/2 inch wide. Place into the inside cavity of the breast, next to the breast bone.
-
Clean/de-seed the jalapenos. Cut into 3 inch long strips…width determines how much spice you want in your breast. Fresh jalapenos with the seeds removed add tons of flavor but not that much heat. Place into the inside cavity of the breast with the cheese.
-
Wrap the breast with a strip of bacon. You may not need a whole piece of bacon, just enough to wrap around, over-lap and secure with a toothpick.
-
Grill over medium high heat until breast is just done. Don’t over cook or it will be dry.
