SAFFRON RICE

WONDERFUL SMELL AND FLAVOR WITHOUT SALT. GREAT TO SERVE WITH INDIAN DISHES.

Cook time: 20 minutes
Serves 4 people
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup water
- Several threads of Saffron
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1 1/2 cups rice (Jasmine or Basmati)
- Cilantro, chopped for garnish (optional)
Directions

Soak Saffron threads for at least 2 hours.

Boil 1/4 cup water in microwave.

Add Saffron to water for the 2 hours.

Bring 2 1/2 cups water to a boil in a pot.

Rinse rice and add to water.

Strain Saffron threads and add Saffron water to pan.

Simmer 20 minutes and rest 10 minutes.

Fluff with fork.
