Devonshire Clotted Cream

Use this on Eileen’s Scones recipe in this book. It is so good, I would like to figure out what else to use it on!

Ingredients

  • 4 ounces mascarpone
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 - 2 tablespoons granulated white sugar
  • Zest of lemon

Directions

  1. Place all the ingredients in a large bowl and beat until the mixture holds its shape and looks like softly whipped cream.

  2. Use right away or cover and refrigerate the cream until serving time. Makes about 1 1/2 cups.
