Blanc Mange

Ingredients

  • 2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 6 whole cloves
  • 1 (1-inch) stick cinnamon
  • 2 1/2 cups skim milk
  • 1 cup evaporated skim milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • artificial sweetener to taste

Directions

  1. In a small saucepan sprinkle gelatin over cold water. Let soften 3 minutes. Add whole cloves and cinnamon stick. Heat over low heat, stirring constantly until gelatin is dissolved and mixture comes to boiling. Remove from heat.
  2. In a bowl combine skim milk, evaporated milk, and vanilla. Remove spices from gelatin mixture and discard. 2/3to serve. cup) molds. Refrigerate 4 hours or until set. Unmold
