Ingredients
- 1 envelope unflavored gelatin
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 2 cups strong hot coffee
- few grains salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp artificial sweetener
- Coffee whip: as above plus 2 egg whites
Directions
- Sprinkle gelatin on cold water. Add 1 cup hot coffee; stir until gelatin dissolves. Add remaining coffee, salt vanilla and sweetener. Chill until set.

Coffee Whip: Make coffee jelly as above Chill until syrupy. Beat with rotary beater until frothy. Beat 2 egg whites stiff; fold into gelatin mixture. Chill until set.
