Ingredients

• 2 cups milk
• 2 cups whipping cream
• 2 eggs, beaten
• 1 1/4 cups sugar
• 2 medium banana, extra ripe
• 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
• 1/4 tsp. salt
• 1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg

Directions

1. In a saucepan, combine milk, cream, eggs and sugar. Cook and stir over low heat until mixture thickens slightly and coats the back of a spoon. Cool to room temperature. Peel bananas and puree in a blender (it should make 1 cup). Add to milk mixture along with vanilla, salt and nutmeg., and stir to combine. Pour into ice cream maker and freeze according to manufacturer’s directions.
