Ingredients
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups whipping cream
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 2 medium banana, extra ripe
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
Directions
- In a saucepan, combine milk, cream, eggs and sugar. Cook and stir over low heat until mixture thickens slightly and coats the back of a spoon. Cool to room temperature. Peel bananas and puree in a blender (it should make 1 cup). Add to milk mixture along with vanilla, salt and nutmeg., and stir to combine. Pour into ice cream maker and freeze according to manufacturer’s directions.
