Berry Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 4 cups Marion berries or other blackberries, fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups half and half
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Thaw frozen berries if using.
  2. Puree berries in food processor or blender. Strain to remove seeds. Should make about 2 cups puree.
  3. Stir in remaining ingredients and chill. Transfer Gerry mixture to ice cream freezer and process according to manufacturer’s instructions.
  4. makes 1 1/2 quarts
