Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh blackberries
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups heavy cream
- Seeds from 1 vanilla bean OR 1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
- 2 to 3 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
Directions
- Puree berries in a food processor. Force berries through a fine strainer to remove seeds. Add sugar to cream and mix until dissolved. Stir in berry puree, vanilla and lemon juice.
- Freeze in an ice cream machine according to manufacturer’s directions.

Note: To remove seeds from vanilla bean, split bean in half lengthwise and scrape out seeds using a sharp knife.
