tomato Gravy

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 2 Tbsp. minced shallots or onion
  • 1 (14 1/2oz.) can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 1 Tsp. chicken bouillon granules
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper

Directions

  1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat; add shallots, and sauté until tender. Stir in tomatoes; bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer, stirring constantly, 2 to 3 minutes.

  2. Stir in whipping cream and remaining ingredients, simmer, stirring often, 3 minutes or until mixture is thickened.
